Tottenham are expected to make an improved offer for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino before today’s 6pm transfer deadline, according to reports.
Berahino has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs this summer while Arsenal are also said to be keen in the England under-21 international.
West Brom rejected a £21m bid from Tottenham last week, however, The Daily Mail reports the London club will return with a bid closer to the Baggies’ £25m valuation of the player.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly keen to sign another striker to link up with Harry Kane in the front third, but it remains to be seen if Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy can get the deal over the line.
West Brom brought in Zenit St Petersburg striker Salomon Rondon over the summer and manager Tony Pulis could look to cash in on Berahino.
Berahino has scored 19 goals in 72 Premier League appearances since making his debut in 2010.
