Tottenham are poised to make a move for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez once Emmanuel Adebayor’s loan move to Aston Villa is complete, according to reports.
Adebayor is set to move to Villa Park on a one-year loan deal, with reports suggesting the Togo international is set to undergo a medical with the Midlands club on Wednesday.
According to The Mirror, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has placed Hernandez at the top of his summer wishlist with the Mexican striker’s future at Old Trafford uncertain.
Hernandez spent last season on loan at Real Madrid and could struggle for first-team action with the Red Devils despite the departures of Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie.
Tottenham are also said to be interested in West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, however The Mirror reports the two club’s are at loggerheads over a transfer fee.
Hernandez, however, would be a solid pickup for Tottenham after the 27-year-old scored seven La Liga goals last season while on loan at the Bernabeu.
