Bayern’s Dante has urged Bernard to move to Germany.
Tottenham Hotspur target Bernard has been urged by fellow Brazilian Dante to move to Borussia Dortmund from Atletico Mineiro rather than the Premier League, reports the Mirror.
The little 20-year-old has been making a big name for himself back in Brazil and now looks certain to move to Europe this summer, with Spurs trying to land the attacking midfielder.
However, Bayern Munich’s Dante believes that Bernard’s skill would be better suited to the defender’s rivals Dortmund and their style of play.
“I talked a bit with Bernard and I explained the philosophy of this country. He is a talented boy who will adapt to Germany,” the Bayern centre-back was quoted in the Mirror.
“If that is his desire then I hope he will do it. I gave him some tips.
“He may not have a physique like many other players but he is a player who would suit Borussia Dortmund’s style of play.”
The Bundesliga and Champions League runners-up are looking for an offensive replacement after selling starlet Mario Goetze to Bayern.
It appears manager Juergen Klopp believes the highly rated Bernard could provide that missing link, but with Spurs also chasing the Brazilian he won’t have an easy decision to make.
The youngster has played his entire playing career at Mineiro since coming through their youth system and making it into the senior squad in early 2011.
Bernard has also caught the eye of national coach Luiz Felipe Scolari and has earned three caps for Brazil since making his debut in November 2012.
