Spurs keen on summer deal for Juventus playmaker says Gianluca Vialli.
Tottenham are eying a shock summer move for Italy international Andrea Pirlo, according to former Chelsea boss Gianluca Vialli.
Pirlo, 34, is out of contract at Juventus next summer and the Old Lady are currently stalling on offering the playmaker a new deal.
Vialli, who spent four years at Juventus before moving to Stamford Bridge, told Sky Italia that there has already been contract between Spurs and the player.
“I got the rumours from London. There is contact between Andrea Pirlo and Tottenham for next season,” claimed the 49-year-old.
Juve boss Antonio Conte has warned Pirlo that he will be rotated as the club look to fight for both the Serie A and Champions League crown this season but the ex-AC Milan star remains influential, and scored free-kick in the 3-2 win over his former club on Sunday.
The Scudetto winners are unlikely to offer the veteran a new two-year deal which may prompt Spurs’ Italian director of football Franco Baldini to act.
