Spurs eye Leandro Damiao and Roberto Soldado in bid to persuade Bale to stay on.
Andres Villas-Boas is doing everything in his power to keep Gareth Bale at White Hart Lane next season, as he looks to add quality to his side that can help elevate the squad into a Champions League place next year.
According to the Daily Express, Spurs will attempt the double signing of Internacional’s Leandro Damiao and Roberto Soldado of Valencia in the coming weeks, in an effort to show the Welshman that they are continuing to grow into a European force.
Soldado, who scored 22 goals for Valencia in La Liga last season, is seen as a way of taking some pressure off Bale in front of goal next season, after Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe failed to score on a consistent basis for the club last season.
The deal could be worth around £20m, and could be seen as a key signing for the north London side in their Europa League ambitions, after going out in the quarter finals last season.
The Daily Express have also reported that Spurs are interested to long-term target Leandro, who was subject to a £16m bid by the side in January, only for Internacional to turn them down.
Villas-Boas may well finally get his man this summer though, with chairman Daniel Levy set to loosen the pursestrings.
It is clear that chairman Daniel Levy will do everything in his power in order to keep Bale at the club, and by reinforcing his team with more world class talent, he is willing to pay a lot of money to achieve that goal.
