North London club are desperate to bring more attacking firepower to the Lane.
Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Benfica front man Rodrigo this summer, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.
The Spain Under-23 international has been at the Stadio da Luz for just the previous two seasons now, having signed for the Lisbon giants from Real Madrid for 6 million euros on a five-year deal in July 2010.
And the 22-year-old has since made 72 appearances for the Portuguese outfit, scoring an impressive 30 times in the process, including 16 strikes in just 38 league contests for the club.
As a result, Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas is understood to be interested in bringing the Spaniard to White Hart Lane when the transfer window opens again on July 1, in order to beef up his options in attack in north London next season.
However, with Rodrigo contracted to the Portuguese capital until June 30 2019, the attacker is likely to cost Spurs at least £10m to purchase.
