Spurs close in on completing the signing of Brazil and Spain international strikers.
Tottenham Hotspur are edging closer to completing a deal with Internacional for promising young striker Leandro Damiao, as Andre Villas-Boas looks to improve a struggling forward line for a Premier League title challenge next season.
Spurs have long been linked with the 23-year old, after having a £16m bid for the striker on January transfer deadline day rejected by the Brazilian club, but the Daily Express reports that a deal is within reach to bring Damiao to White Hart Lane.
The Express also claim that AVB also hopes to bring in Valencia striker Roberto Soldado, who scored 25 goals for the Spanish outfit in La Liga this season, and the pair would be a significant upgrade on the current Tottenham strikeforce.
The total sum of both transfers is believed to be in the region of £36m, with both forwards looking to replace the outgoing pair of Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor, who are both under pressure at White Hart Lane after indifferent seasons.
