Spurs are desperate to add more firepower to their attack at the Lane next season.
Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a £20 million move for coveted Valencia front man Roberto Soldado this summer, according to exclusive reports in the Daily Express.
The Spain international is currently enjoying yet another impressive season in front of goal in La Liga, finding the back of the net on 21 occasions in just 33 league outings for his high-flying employers.
Meanwhile, in all competitions to date this campaign the 27-year-old has registered an impressive 27 goals in only 44 appearances for Valencia, goalscoring form that makes the player one of the most sought-after attacker’s currently plying their trade on the Continent.
However, with a contract at the Mestalla that runs until the end of June 2017, the north London club know that the Spaniard will not come cheap when the transfer window finally reopens on 1 June.
And, without the lure of Champions League football at White Hart Lane to also offer the striker next season, Spurs may find it hard to convince Soldado to move to the capital.
