AVB has been chasing forward for some time now.
Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their long-running pursuit of coveted Internacional front man Leandro Damiao, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The skilful Brazil international has been with his club his whole career, making his league debut for them in 2010 and in the intervening three-year period the 23-year-old has proved himself to be one of the most exciting players in his homeland.
Damiao has managed to find the back of the net on 28 occasions in just 72 league appearances for Internacional to date, while overall the forward has netted an equally impressive 82 goals in only 147 contests for his employers.
And it is that kind of eye-catching form in front of goal that has resulted in the north London club keeping close tabs on the player for some time now, with Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas just failing to bring Damiao to White Hart Lane in the recent January transfer window.
