North London club face strong competition for youngster’s signature.
High-flying Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up an end-of-season swoop for in-demand Sochaux defender Sebastien Corchia, according to reports on talkSPORT.
The North London club are currently enjoying an eye-catching campaign in the English top-flight and have an excellent chance of finishing in the top four of the Premier League standings come the summer, and with it entry into the Champions League.
And, as a result, Tottenham head-coach Andre Villas-Boas is currently on the lookout for new players with which to raise the overall level of his squad for next season in order to mount both a challenge for the title and a charge on Europe’s premier club competition.
And one player on the Portuguese’s radar is Sochaux’s 22-year-old defender Corchia, who has enjoyed an excellent campaign at the heart of the Ligue 1 side’s defence, so much so that the player has attracted the attentions of a whole host of other ‘big-name’ European clubs from across the Continent.
These include the likes of Serie A champions Juventus and fellow Italian giants AC Milan, as well as Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich and big-spending Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain, so the North Londoners will face a fight for the player’s signature.
