Spurs have named the five men who could receive the award.
After a solid start to the new season which has seen Tottenham Hotspur qualify for the Europa League and win two out of three Premier League ties, the club releases the Player of the Month nominees for August.
Etienne Capoue
The £9.5m signing from Toulouse has slotted right into the Spurs setup and alongside either Paulinho or Sandro, looks solid as a defensive midfielder.
An injury to the Frenchman against Arsenal in the club’s last match will keep the 25-year-old sidelined for four weeks however.
Nacer Chadli
Chadli arrived from FC Twente in a £7m move and the Belgium international has enjoyed a steady, if unremarkable start at White Hart Lane.
Although the 24-year-old has been quiet in the league the winger did provide two assists in Europa League qualification.
Hugo Lloris
As always the Frenchman has been ever reliable and is regarded by many as the best goalkeeper playing in England currently.
In five matches so far this term Lloris has kept four clean-sheets and conceded just one goal at the hands of the Gunners in the north London derby.
Danny Rose
Sunderland’s Player of the Season last year has gone straight in Tottenham team after returning from the loan spell in the north east.
With Benoit Assou-Ekotto having been loaned to QPR, Rose should get plenty of opportunities at left-back and scored a stunning goal against Dinimo Tbilisi.
Roberto Soldado
The £26m former Valencia man appears to have had a slow start if reports are anything to go by, but four goals in five matches tells a different story.
Soldado did look uncomfortable at the Emirates Stadium however and will have to quickly adjust to the physical demands of the English style of play.
