Spurs prepare £14.5m bid for Corinthians midfielder Paulinho.
Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make an offer for Corinthians midfielder Paulinho and the Londoners are willing to pay £14.5m for the 24-year old, according to The Metro.
Boss Andre Villas-Boas has placed midfielders Scott Parker and Tom Huddlestone on the transfer list, and is looking to Paulinho to fill the void left by the departing duo.
The tough-tackling defensive midfielder has also attracted interest from Serie A clubs Inter Milan and Roma recently, but it seems that the Premier League side are the current frontrunners in the race to sign the Brazil international.
Paulinho has impressed on international duty for Brazil recently, and English fans were able to get a first-hand glimpse of the midfielder after he scored in the 2-2 draw with England in Rio two weeks ago.
While no deal has been agreed between the clubs, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will want to come to a deal soon, after reportedly missing out on signing Inter Milan playmaker Fredy Guarin.
