Martinez has returned to his day job of terrorising defences in the Portuguese Primeira Liga following his starring role for Jose Pekerman’s Colombian side at this summer’s World Cup, but he is reportedly keen to try his hand at one of Europe’s major leagues as time begins to run out for him to make a big move.
This has alerted the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool to the player’s apparent availability, with Martinez’s potent mixture of pace, power and finishing ability making him custom built for the hustle and bustle of Premier League action.
