8. Robbie Keane
Many Spurs fans will never forgive the Irishman for his brief defection to Liverpool in summer 2008, which ultimately proved little more than a six month sojourn. But in the dark days before Martin Jol turned Spurs into a club capable of challenging for the Premier League top six, Keane was a shining light in an under-performing and uninspiring squad.
In his two spells at the club, Keane scored 121 goals but he was never the same after his return from Anfield and, after a series of loan spells, left for LA Galaxy in 2011.
