3. David Ginola
In the era before the likes of Modric, Gareth Bale or even Christian Eriksen, Ginola was the creative spark who illuminated an otherwise average Tottenham side. The mercurial Frenchman was capable of the extraordinary and drew the collective breath of White Hart Lane.
The left winger became the first Tottenham player to win the players’ player of the year award and helped the club claimed the 1999 League Cup, before leaving for Aston Villa in summer 2000.
