Centre-half is another prospect to be identified by Franco Baldini.
Tottenham are interested in a deal for Brazilian wonderkid Doria, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Botafogo centre-back made his debut for Brazil this year aged just 18 and is extremely highly thought of in his homeland.
Spurs technical director in-waiting Franco Baldini reportedly believes Doria is a better prospect that Marquinhos, the defender the Italian brought to Roma last summer who is now attracting interest from the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Any deal will be complicated because a third party are currently in the process of buying Doria for around €9m and plan to give the teenager a ‘shop window’ move to either Porto or Benfica.
Both Primera Liga outfits have a reputation for selling on stars for huge profits and the third party hope to see a huge return on their investment.
In this eventuality, Botafogo would retain a percentage of Doria’s economic rights so Spurs have been told they need to stump up big money to sign the youngster outright.
