There are eight Spurs players in action on Tuesday night, as World Cup qualifying takes centre stage.
Kyle Walker, Andros Townsend and Jermain Defoe
Ukraine vs ENGLAND
Kyle Walker is expected to start for England in a match that is no laughing matter for Roy Hodgson’s side. Defeat would leave the Three Lions hopes of automatic qualification for World Cup 2014 in the balance and, with Glen Johnson facing ten weeks on the sidelines, Walker has another chance to stake his claim to be England’s right back in Brazil.
Despite the suspension of Danny Welbeck, both Andros Towsend and Jermain Defoe are likely to be named among the substitutes again, with Hodgson set to use Rickie Lambert as a lone striker and the conservative James Milner on the left.
Hugo Lloris
Belarus vs FRANCE
France captain Hugo Lloris will line-up between the sticks as Les Bleus travel to Belarus, knowing they are almost certain to finish second behind Spain in Group I. The Spurs ‘keeper has started the season in tremendous form but with Didier Deschamps side struggling to find the net – the French have not scored in five matches, while key striker Karim Benzema’s international goal drought has breached 20 hours – attention will be on the other end of the pitch in Minsk.
