Spurs tracking Inter Milan’s Andrea Ranocchia.
Tottenham are among the clubs keen on Inter Milan centre-half Andrea Ranocchia, according to Italian daily Gazetta dello Sport.
Manchester United are also tracking the Italy international but it is understood Spurs currently lead the chase for the 25-year-old.
Scudetto winners Juventus are admirers of Ranocchia and could enter the fray if their move for Torino’s Angelo Ogbonna falls through.
However, it is understood Ranocchia does not want to leave the San Siro this summer.
The towering defender joined Inter from Genoa in 2011 and has established himself as a key part of the Nerrazzuri first team, making 32 Serie A appearances last term.
Ranocchia has also been capped ten times for Italy but was not part of the squad for this summer’s Confederations Cup in Brazil.
Spurs released veteran centre-half William Gallas earlier in the summer but boast Younes Kaboul, Michael Dawson, Jan Vertonghen and Steven Caulker on their books.
However, Kaboul missed the vast majority of last season with a knee injury and some doubts remain as to whether the Frenchman will be able to play consistently next term.
