Spurs are looking closely at midfielder Rabiot.
Despite having splurged over £100m on new talent this summer, Tottenham Hotspur are still keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain starlet Adrien Rabiot, according to talkSPORT.
With the transfer window having only just shut Spurs obviosuly wouldn’t be making a move for the Frenchman in the near future and want to wait 12 months before deciding whether to make their move.
Rabiot is a product of the PSG youth system, but actually spent time with Manchester City in 2005, but left after disagreements with the club.
Now back in Paris and the France under-19 international is beginning to break into the first team on occasions at the Parc des Princes – becoming the first academy player to do so since the Qatari takeover.
The 18-year-old has been brought off the bench for three of PSG’s Ligue 1 games so far this season, even managing to score a goal against Guingamp in the French champions’ last league match.
With another product of youth system, Mamadou Sakho, having made the switch to Liverpool this summer Tottenham are more confident of the Parisians selling the player.
Rabiot operates as a central midfielder, verging more towards the defensive side of the game and has been known to sit in front of the back four.
With the north London club having bought the likes of Etienne Capoue and Paulinho in the recent window many would believe the side didn’t need anyone else in that area of the pitch, but Spurs are still keeping their options open.
