Tom Huddlestone
The big-haired pass-master has enjoyed a late season renaissance and even kept an apparently fit Mousa Dembele on the bench for Spurs’ crucial clash with Sunderland on Sunday. At his best, Huddlestone boasts unrivaled technique and vision. But doubts remain over his athletic ability and his critics rightly point to his turning circle (equivalent to that of a large aircraft carrier) as evidence the former Derby County player does not suit Villas-Boas’ pressing game.
As he proved in the home win against Man City, Huddlestone is an asset from the bench but, at 26, he will want first team football and will likely to allowed to depart this summer. Stoke may be keen.
