Scott Parker
In the absence of the injured Sandro Ranieri, Parker has done a decent enough job in the middle of the park since January. Even at 32, the journeyman enforcer never stops running and is as robust in the tackle as a younger, and bigger, man. Parker shone last season under Harry Redknapp, but Villas-Boas demands more from his midfielders and the former Chelsea and West Ham star has struggled with a new box-to-box role, managing no goals and just one assist in 21 league appearances.
Parker would again prove a good bench-man next season but is likely to be sold to make way for new recruits this summer. ‘Arry’s QPR will surely be interested.
