Michel Vorm – 6/10
Didn’t do a lot wrong. Got a hand to Walker’s miskick, but it would be harsh to say he should have kept it out – although Hugo Lloris probably would have, had he not been left on the bench to nurse his poorly wrist.
Kyle Walker – 7/10
Despite scoring an own goal, Walker played very well. He showed impressive desire to get back and make the ill-fated tackle which ended with him poking the ball past Vorm.
Walker had Ashley Young in his pocket for most of the match. The arrival of right-back rival Kieran Trippier appears to have given the former Sheffield United man a boost.

Ben Davies – 6/10
Didn’t cope as well as Walker, but Davies certainly didn’t let his side down, having been drafted in as a late replacement for Danny Rose.
Toby Alderweireld – 8/10
Looked composed and solid in defence, while he was also impressive as attacker from set-pieces. A highly encouraging debut.
