How the stars from Spurs rated in a 1-0 triumph at White Hart Lane.
It was a Champions League battle in the Premier League as Tottenham Hotspur beat Everton 1-0 in a closely contested game.
A second half strike from the in-form Emmanuel Adebayor was enough to clinch the victory and it moves Spurs to within three points of the top four places.
Hugo Lloris – 8
A good game for the France captain, who got well off his line to snuff out a few Toffees moves and made a brilliant save from a Leon Osman shot in the first half.
Kyle Walker – 6
Quick thinking to set up Adebayor for the winner from a free-kick, but Walker’s delivery was generally poor and the right-back was left floundered at times by Leighton Baines and Steven Pienaar.
Michael Dawson – 6
Despite looking clumsy and off the pace once again the Spurs captain continues to be the first name on the team-sheet and the clean-sheet flatters the centre-back.
Jan Vertonghen – 7
Was mostly good on the ball and solid defensively and the return of the Belgian to the starting Xi has noticeably lifted the north London side.
Danny Rose – 7
Dealt well with the threat of Kevin Mirallas and looked a lot stronger going forward than the left-back’s team-mate Walker.
