The powerful Belgian was Spurs’ best player this afternoon, during the 2-2 draw with United…
Tottenham Hotspur
- 25 Lloris – 6
Looked shaky throughout, and was guilty of rushing off his line too quickly, conceding a penalty against Danny Welbeck that brought Manchester United their equaliser.
- 02 Walker – 8
Scored a wonderful freekick, and was a constant menace up the right flank.
- 05 Vertonghen – 7
Solid, as per usual.
- 19 Dembélé – 8
Strong, combative performance from the Belgian. Probably Spurs’ best player.
- 20 Dawson – 5
Played way, way too many long balls, and only completed about half of his passes.
- 06 Chiriches – 7
Much more composed in possession than his central defensive partner.
- 07 Lennon (Townsend – 65′ ) 6 & 5
Lennon’s end product was poor, and his replacement was far too keen to shoot on sight than him.
- 30 Sandro – 7
Gave Spurs a 2-1 lead, and made some good tackles in the centre of the park.
- 09 Soldado (Defoe – 72′ ) – 3 & 5
Awful. Won no headers, didn’t take on any players, and never looked like scoring.
- 08 Paulinho – 7
Solid performance from the Brazilian. Was allowed to get forward far more than in previous weeks.
- 21 Chadli (Sigurdsson – 85′ ) – 6
The lanky Belgian did relatively early on, but faded late.
