Christian Eriksen – 7/10
Besides Hugo Lloris in goal, Christian Eriksen was the only player who appeared to come out for the second half with the belief that Spurs could turn the game around.
Faded as Tottenham’s hopes died, but at least showed some inspiration on the ball.
Aaron Lennon – 6/10
The presence of Aaron Lennon can force a team backwards, but while he made a couple of encouraging runs early on, he was soon spending more time helping to defend rather than get involved in the attack.
Harry Kane – 5/10
Harry Kane didn’t get a great deal of time to impress, as he was substituted after Younes Kaboul’s red card.
Still, he had just enough time to score an own goal when he deflected Andy Carroll’s header into his own net.
Emmanuel Adebayor – 4/10
Emmanuel Adebayor showed the importance of taking your chances when he squandered Spurs’ best move of the game in the first half with an astonishingly tame finish.
He was as blame as Paulinho for Stewart Downing’s free kick going in between them, and offered little up front thereafter.
