Pochettino impressed by 20-year-old Leyton Orient winger.
North Londoner giants Tottenham Hotspur are impressed with the development of League One side Leyton Orient’s 20-year-old winger Moses Odubajo, and are set to make a £4 million offer for him this summer.
Talksport reports that the lower league star has caught the eye of Spurs’ new boss Mauricio Pochettino by leading his side to the League One playoff final, and the Argentine tactician now wants the youngster to be part of a proposed youthful attacking lineup at White Hart Lane.
Pochettino has already got a reputation for developing young players during his time at Southampton where he achieved great results in a short space of time. Odubajo could be the first of his ‘wild card’ signings as Spurs’ boss and a £4 million offer shows how confident Pochettino is of the winger’s potential.
Orient have a long a fruitful history with developing young talent, and Odubajo is just the latest in a long line of star who have come through the club’s academy.
While Spurs have the financial power to easily prise away Odubajo from League One, the offer for a relatively unproven winger two levels below the Premier League seems to be on the higher side.
