Spurs keen on playmaker.
Tottenham have entered the race for unsettled Inter Milan star Wesley Sniejder, according to Football Italia.
The Dutchman is almost certain to leave Inter next month after refusing to sign a new deal at the San Siro.
Sneijder, 28, has not played for the Nerrazzuri since September due to injury and a long-standing contract dispute, during which the Serie A giants have shown their best form the season.
PSG, Manchester United and Man City have all been credited with an interest in the Netherlands international but Spurs have now entered the chase, as boss Andre Villas-Boas looks to inject some creativity into his inconsistent side.
The North Londoners lost both Rafa van der Vaart and Luka Modric over the summer and failed in a deadline day bid for Porto’s Joao Moutinho.
Vilas-Boas would love to bring his compatriot Moutinho to White Hart Lane in January but the 25-year-old has been priced out of a move, meaning Spurs will consider Sneijder.
However, the talented playmaker will almost certainly want Champions League football and is reportedly paid over £4m per year, which could prove tough for thrifty Tottenham to match.
