Paulinho and Fredericks should come in for Spurs against the Potters.
Tim Sherwood is expected to persist with a 4-4-2 formation for Stoke’s visit to White Hart Lane, as Spurs look to record their first home win in the league since 27 October.
We name our predicted line-up below:
GK: Hugo Lloris
The Frenchman was as quick as ever off his line to stifle several attacks against West Brom but must start catching, rather than punching, before he costs his team dearly.
RB: Ryan Fredericks
With Kyle Walker suspended after picking up a fifth booking, expect Tim Sherwood to put faith in one of his former youth prospects. Fredericks, 21, made a great cameo against Anzhi earlier this month and is arguably already better than Kyle Naughton, who looks out of his depth at Spurs.
LB: Danny Rose
Rose’s return has been a major boost for new boss Tim Sherwood and Andre Villas-Boas may have fared better had the left back been fit for most of this season.
CB: Vlad Chiriches
The Romanian was absolutely shambolic against West Brom, frequently losing the ball and demonstrated a worrying tendency to make poor decisions. But with Younes Kaboul and Jan Vertonghen injured, he is the only option start against the Potters alongside…
CB: Michael Dawson
The captain is off-form and looks shaky at present but Dawson usually performs well against the Premier League also-rans and will be useful against Stoke, who are still a more physical than most sides.
