Spurs land winger according to sources on the Continent.
Tottenham have signed FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli for €7m, according to sources in both Belgium and the Netherlands.
Radio Television Belge Francophone (RTBF), the public broadcasting service for the French Community in Belgium, and Dutch website AD.nl both claim Spurs have landed the 25-year-old, who predominantly plays left wing.
Chadli’s arrival at White Hart Lane would boost the clubs Belgian contingent to three, with Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele already on Spurs’ books.
Shakhtar Donetsk and Swansea City were also thought to be interested in the Belgium international, who twice scored against Spurs for Twente during the north Londoners’ debut season in the Champions League in 2010.
Eredivisie outfit Twente were thought to be unwilling to lose the versatile forward for less than €9m but appear to have reached a compromise after Chadli made it clear he wanted to move to White Hart Lane.
The winger, who scored 12 goals in 26 league matches for Twente last term, will compete with Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend for a spot in Tottenham’s first team, with Gareth Bale set to play through the middle again next season.
