Aubameyang and Lamela top the Spurs shortlist of transfer targets this summer.
Tottenham are eyeing a double swoop this summer as they look to strengthen their front-line with their advances for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke likely to be dismissed.
According to the Daily Mirror, Spurs have made an enquiry for Saint-Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as boss Andre Villas-Boas wants to sign at least two front-men this summer.
It is understood that Villa are pricing Benteke out of the market, while there has been little movement with the Portuguese tactician’s other targets thus far.
Gabon international Aubameyang would cost around £10m after scoring 21 goals for his current employers last season, but has been subject to intense interest from clubs across Europe.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a switch abroad ahead of next season, but it remains to be seen whether he will be plying his trade at White Hart Lane with Spurs looking to also offload Jermain Defoe.
In addition, as reported by the Telegraph, they will also look to sign Roma star Erik Lamela this summer, with the impending arrival of Franco Baldini said to increase their chances of carrying out successful negotiations.
However, the Giallorossi have given no indication at this stage that they would be willing to sell, as the Argentine international continues to develop in the Italian capital and had an impressive season last year.
Spurs are looking to make a number of signings this summer, but much will depend on Gareth Bale and whether his future lies away from north London. There is also speculation that Paris Saint-Germain are hopeful of swooping for Villas-Boas, as Carlo Ancelotti could join Bale in Madrid next season.
