Spurs all set to sign Willian ahead of Premier League rivals…
Tottenham look like they have won the race for coveted Brazilian playmaker Willian’s signature, reports Russian publication Sport Express, and a string of Russian football journalists.
The 25-year-old plays for Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, who are willing to sell a number of their prized assets after changing their footballing policy to focus on youth development.
Spurs have bid €35m for the player with a percentage of any future sale, which trumps Liverpool’s €25m plus 50% of any future sale offer.
According to Artur Petrosyan, who is the Sport Express editor (and ironically an enormous Liverpool fan) Spurs will announce the capture of the player in the coming days. Nobel Arustyaman confirms that all that is left is for Willian to complete a medical and agree personal terms.
Well, it seems to be Spurs. They’re favourites to get Willian from what I’ve heard. Should be decided in the next couple of days.

Тоттенхэм достиг принципиальной договоренности с Анжи по Виллиану.Вероятность сделки очень высока.Теперь медосмотр и личный контракт игрока.

“Tottenham have reached an agreement in principle for Willian. Probability is high. Pending: medical and personal terms.”
Willian would join new recruits Nacer Chadli, Paulinho, Etienne Capoue and Roberto Soldado at White Harte Lane this summer. While the latter, at £26m broke the club’s transfer record, the imminent Willian scoop would blow even this deal out of the water.
Liverpool have struggled to bring in the marquee signings they so desperately desire, having already missed out on Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Diego Costa this summer. With less than two weeks left of the transfer window, failing to sign Willian would probably see the squad worryingly short in attacking areas after selling Stewart Downing to West Ham.
