Tottenham are ready to make a bid in excess of £20m for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, according to reports.
Berahino has been linked with both Arsenal and Manchester United this summer, but it seems Tottenham are in pole position to sign the England under-21 international.
West Brom brought in Zenit St Petersburg striker Salomon Rondon over the summer and manager Tony Pulis could look to cash in on Berahino and make another dive into the transfer market before the summer window closes at the end of the month.
With Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino keen to bring in strike partner for Harry Kane, The Independent reports the North London club are prepared to make a bid ‘in excess’ of £20m to bring the player to White Hart Lane.
According to The Mirror, Berahino will have to hand in a transfer request to force a move to Tottenham as Baggies chairman Jeremy Pearce is understood to not be keen on selling the striker.
Berahino has scored 19 goals in 72 Premier League appearances since making his debut in 2010.
