Evans has struggled for game time under Louis van Gaal this season and is believed to be heading for the exit door at Old Trafford.
According to Metro, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking to fix his side’s defensive woes with the signing of the Northern Ireland international.
Evans has made just 12 Premier League appearances this season under van Gaal, and is believed to be being monitored by Spurs.
Tottenham have conceded 53 goals this season, meaning Pochettino’s side hold the fifth-worst defensive record of all Premier League sides this term.
While Evans is not a cultured centre-back in the same mould of Jan Vertonghen and Federico Fazio, he certainly has the ability to shore up what is a leaky defence.
Evans is contracted to United for another season, but van Gaal may look to cash in on the 27-year-old this summer.
