Franco Baldini set for talks with agent of Spain international Roberto Soldado.
Tottenham sporting director Franco Baldini is in Valencia to begin talks over Los Che striker Roberto Soldado, according to various sources in Spain.
Journalist Fran Guaita of Cadena Ser said on twitter that the Italian had landed in Valencia, as Spurs step-up their pursuit of a new striker.

Various other sources claimed Baldini will discuss terms with Soldado’s agent over a possible £25m move to White Hart Lane, a deal which would see the 28-year-old Spain international become Spurs’ record signing.
Valencia have reportedly set a deadline of 3 August for the deal to done and Spurs appear ready to act, after missing out on David Villa, who joined Atletico Madrid from Barcelona, and Christian Benteke, the Belgian who opted to renew his contract with Aston Villa.
Spurs are in need of a new striker after a dismal campaign for both Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor.
Defoe scored just once in the league after Boxing Day last season, while the Togolese managed just five Premier League strikes all term.
