Spurs striker Harry Kane continued his elevation in the game after being handed the captaincy for Spurs in their dull 0-0 draw away to relegation threatened Burnley.
After scoring his first international goal against Lithuania during the international break, Mauricio Pochettino gave the forward the honour in leading out the north London outfit.
Huge honour to Captain the side today. Very proud day! Disappointing result but a good clean sheet away from home.Fans were fantastic! #COYS

Despite the goalless draw at Turf Moor, Kane took to Twitter to speak of his delight at the monumental moment and was quick to point out that the defensive performance from the visitors was a positive.

The draw leaves the north London side eight points off Man United in fourth and their Champions League hopes are surely now disappearing. Kane still leads the Premier League goalscoring charts and may be chasing the personal landmark in order to make up for a season which looks like will mirror previous campaigns.
