Tottenham midfielder Sandro appears interested in a move to Italy.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro is keen on switch to Italy with either AS Roma or Napoli, reports the Daily Express.
The agent of the Spurs star, who was on the sidelines for most of this term, is vexed at losing his place in Brazil’s World Cup squad due to lack of first team action at White Hart Lane.
Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood had sidelined the former Internacional man for most of his tenure this season, and Sandro has therefore managed just 19 Premier League outings in that period.
“The interest of Napoli and Roma? We have not had direct contacts and there have been no formal offers,” the South American’s agent Luis Paulo Chignoli said.
“We know that many clubs are following Sandro. He would like to play in Serie A, it is a very important championship but now we have to wait to know if he can leave Tottenham or not.
“I think that Tottenham want to keep him, but I cannot rule out that they decide to sell if there will be a good offer.”
The enforcer had earlier said that he would not want a move away from Spurs this summer, but it seems as though the lack of first team action has finally hit Sandro, who now feels that it is high time he revived his career.
