Argentinian winger waiting on update over future.
Roma starlet Erik Lamela is still in the Italian capital despite reports suggesting he was in London to conclude a deal to join Tottenham.
The 21-year-old is still expected to complete his move to the Premier League in the coming days, although there appears to be a delay as the Giallorossi look to secure his replacement.
According to Football Italia, Lamela spoke to Sky Sport Italia this afternoon and assured them that he was still in Italy, but it remains to be seen for how long.
Roma are pushing to conclude a deal for Fiorentina starlet Adem Ljajic, with the Serbian youngster holding further talks with the Viola on Tuesday.
While it has been widely reported that he isn’t expected to sign a new deal with the club, he must now decide between either AC Milan and Roma.
It is understood that if he were to choose the latter, then Roma will give the green-light for Lamela to join Spurs as they look for their own replacement for Gareth Bale.
However, at this stage it is still unclear as to where he will go with reports claiming he still prefers a move to San Siro while Fiorentina are keen to push him toward Rome.
