Spurs want to bring Sporting Lisbon starlet to White Hart Lane this summer.
Tottenham are ready to battle it out with Barcelona for the summer signing of Sporting Lisbon wonderkid Wallyson Mallmann, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Spanish giants have been courting the 19-year-old Brazilian for some time but Spurs are thought to hopeful of beating Barca to the youngster’s signature.
Mallman also has a German passport so would be able to move to the Premier League without applying for a work permit.
The attacking midfielder, who can also play as a second striker, is yet to make an appearances for Sporting but is highly-rated in Portugal.
Mallman has yet to sign a new deal with the Primeira Liga club and is available for just a small compensation fee this summer.
While Barca are one of the most attractive propositions in Europe, Spurs will hope that the offer of more first-team football and the presence of Portuguese boss Andre Villas-Boas at White Hart Lane, will persuaded Mallman to opt for north London over Catalonia.
