Tottenham are preparing table a third bid in its attempt to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, according to reports.
Berahino has been heavily linked with a move away from The Hawthorns this summer, with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino keen to bring in another striker to partner Harry Kane.
According to The Daily Mail, the Baggies turned down a £21m offer from Tottenham for the England under-21 international on Tuesday as it fell short of the club’s £25m valuation of the player.
The report suggests Spurs will come back with a third bid for Berahino, but it remains to be seen if it does indeed match West Brom’s valuation.
West Brom brought in Zenit St Petersburg striker Salomon Rondon over the summer and manager Tony Pulis could look to cash in on Berahino and make another dive into the transfer market before the summer window closes at the end of the month.
Berahino has scored 19 goals in 72 Premier League appearances since making his debut in 2010.
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Berahino, but Spurs look to be in pole position to sign the attacker.
