West Bromwich have slapped an £8million price tag on wanted striker Peter Odemwingie.
Wigan have reportedly had a £4m turned down on Sunday by the Baggies after talks regarding a new deal at the Hawthorns stalled.
Albion are trying to tie Odemwingie to a new three-year contract and it s understood that the striker is keen to stay but could change his position if a more lucrative offer is presented from another club.
The 30-year-old Nigeria international has also been linked with Tottenham, who are desperate to recruit a new striker before the transfer deadline at the end of the month.
Redknapp wants to overhaul his current strike force having seen Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko manage just 17 goals between them last season.
Albion boss Roy Hodgson is desperate to keep his prized asset, who notched 15 goals last season, but a sizeable offer could yet be accepted for the highly-rated attacker.
