According to Daily Star, Spurs have had an £8m bid rejected from the Ligue 1 giants and have been told to double their offer if they are to have any chance of signing the Belgian international.
The 21-year-old starred for Monaco both domestically and in the Champions League this season and is believed to have caught the eye of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Ferreira-Carrasco scored six times in 36 Ligue 1 appearances last season and played a crucial role in his side’s Champions League round of 16 win over Premier League giants Arsenal.
The former Genk man has previously been linked with a move to the Gunners, however it now seems Tottenham are in pole position to sign the left-winger.
It remains to be seen if Spurs stump up the cash or decide that Monaco’s valuation of the player is too high.
