Lamela could be departing White Hart Lane after just six months.
Despite having only been at Tottenham Hotspur for six months following a £30m transfer in the summer, Erik Lamela is ready to join Atletico Madrid or Inter Milan, reports La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The winger has failed to settle in the Premier League and would be glad of the opportunity to end a torrid time in north London.
Lamela was among a host of expensive stars brought into White Hart Lane along with the likes of Roberto Soldado and Paulinho.
As the club’s record signing there has been a lot of pressure put on the 21-year-old, which has been even worse since the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas – the manager who originally bought the Argentine.
Inter head coach Walter Mazzarri is a big fan of Lamela and tried to bring the Argentina international to Napoli when the Italian was in charge of the club back in 2011.
As it was Roma landed the attacking midfielder from River Plate, but Mazzarri has kept a keen eye on the South American’s progress ever since.
Since arriving at Spurs Lamela has played 16 times in all competitions, with the most success being found in the Europa League with three assists and a goal.
However, the likes of Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon have been far more impressive and the Argentinian has struggled to break into the first team.
If Tottenham were to allow Lamela to leave then thrifty chairman Daniel Levy would want to make back most of the £30m outlay, so either Atleti or Inter would have to dig deep.
