Bale again hints his future may be at Spurs after admitting he has a great relationship with AVB.
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been given fresh hope that Gareth Bale will stay at White Hart Lane next season, after the winger admitted his love for playing under current boss Andre Villas-Boas.
The 23-year old has been linked with Real Madrid but Spurs have always been adamant that the forward will remain at the club, while Bale, 23, has praised the work Villas-Boas has done since arriving at White Hart Lane last summer.
“He has helped me in all aspects of my game,” Bale is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“In training we have been working on things that I can do in games and in games he has given me the confidence to do what I want and do what I do best, which is a massive thing for a player.”
Bale is understood to be considering a £130k a week new deal offered by chairman Daniel Levy, as Real Madrid wait on the Wales international to make a formal decision on his future.
This season has been one to remember for Bale, scoring 21 Premier League goals, and in the process landing the PFA Player and Young Player of the season awards, plus the Football Writers’ Player of the Year award.
Under contract with Spurs until 2016, Madrid will be asked to pay an astronomical fee for the Tottenham icon, with £85m the latest price tag suggested in the Daily Mail.
