Spurs deal for Spain international stopped as agents haggle with Valencia over fee.
Tottenham’s deal for Valencia striker Roberto Soldado has been put on hold after a dispute between Los Che and the Spaniard’s agent.
The latest update comes from Fran Guaita, a journalist with Valencia-based radio station Cadena Ser, who has remained close to the proceedings throughout Spurs bid to lure the 28-year-old to White Hart Lane.
Guiata’s tweet says an issue with the commission for Soldado’s agent, Alberto Toldra, has put the deal temporarily on hold…
OJO. La operación entre VCF y Tottenham está PARADA ahora mismo por una comisión de otra operación que reclama Toldrá Consulting al VCF.

Valencia expert Hans Kristian Lange added that the issue was unlikely to scupper the deal but confirmed that the relationship between Toldra and Valencia president Amadeo Salvo was frosty:
Sources consider it a relatively small issue, but the relationship Toldrá-Salvo is arctic cold. #vcfnordic #thfc
