Kane scored two goals in Spurs’ 5-3 win over Chelsea on New Year’s, just the latest in a string of fantastic performances by the 21-year-old.
His form has not passed Hodgson by, and the England boss hinted that he could be in line for his first cap very soon.
We have watched [Kane] for a while and I worked with him briefly in the Under-21s when I filled in for one game. Harry has come on in leaps and bounds and I’m not surprised,” he said.
The Tottenham star has a number of established internationals ahead of him in the pecking order, but if he can continue the season in the same way, then he is sure to be called up.
