The pacey winger fits into Sherwood’s favoured formation perfectly. The way he hugs the touchline means Spurs have genuine width, and with Walker overlapping him, Adebayor and Soldado can expect good service into the box.
FC) Roberto Soldado
The Spanish forward isn’t scoring a lot of goals recently, but his overall play has been impressive. His technical ability means he can hold the ball up well, and provide his strike partner Adebayor with regular chances.
FC) Emmanuel Adebayor
The African hitman has perhaps been Spurs’ biggest revelation since Sherwood replaced AVB, scoring four goals. His power and tenacity will likely cause the Palace defence problems all afternoon.
