For the midweek League Cup match, Rose replaced Kyle Naughton at left-back, who had a shocker during the 5-0 drubbing by Liverpool last weekend. He’s not 100% fit, but Sherwood has little option other than to start him.
MC) Mousa Dembele
With Sandro injured, and Paulinho suspended, the Belgian powerhouse is a shoe-in for a start against the Saints. He should play a deeper role than usual with the Brazilian duo unavailable.
