Roberto Soldado has not set the Premier League alight as many Spurs fans expected him to following his £26m summer move from La Liga.
He has technical ability, but is fairly immobile, unlike the ferocious Benteke who has already proved himself as a top, top forward.
Villa won’t want to sell, but if Spurs pursue Benteke with enough vigour, his head will eventually turn.
