Manchester United are favourites to sign Trabzonspor winger Abdul Majeed Waris this summer, according to their president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu.

Manchester United transfer news
The Daily Express reports that the Red Devils have been scouting the 23-year-old for some time, but have apparently been joined in their interest by several other Premier League clubs.
Waris has been included in Ghana’s 23-man squad to play at this month’s African Nations Cup, where no doubt he will attract more attention if he can impress.
The 23-year-old only joined Trabsonspor in a £4.3m deal last summer, and Haciosmanoglu believes that a lucrative move to Manchester United could be just around the corner.
“Lille and a few English clubs are interested in signing Waris,” he said.
“Lille were also interested in Waris before we signed him. However a player cannot play for three different clubs in one season so he will have to wait until the end of the season.
“We know Manchester United are monitoring him too.”
