The Colts have been making calls everywhere to get depth for starting RB Trent Richardson.
The Indianapolis Colts have traded Kicker Cody Parkey to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for RB David Fluellen.
With RB Trent Richardson continuing to struggle on the field, the team waiting for Ahmad Bradshaw to recover form injury, and the recent season-ending injury to Vick Ballard, the Colts appear desperate for depth at the RB position.
Fluellen, an undrafted free agent out of Toledo, was a First-Team All-MAC player in college in 2012 and 2013. He also caught a TD pass in the Eagles’ preseason opener against the Bears. However, Fluellen became the odd-man out in Philadelphia when they team traded for RB Kenjon Barner on Tuesday.
Eagles Kicker Alex Henery has started the last 48 games for Philadelphia and has a career kicking percentage of 86.0%. However, he recorded a career low FG% in 2013 with a disappointing 82.1% and has struggled in the preseason games. As of yesterday the team did not have any competitors for the position.
Parkey was an undrafted rookie free agent out of Auburn who led the NCAA in touchbacks with 69 in 2013.
